KNSW adopts new Conflict of Interest Policy and Register for its Directors

The Board of Karting (NSW) Inc have adopted a Conflict of Interest Policy and Conflicts Register for its Directors.

In April 2018, the NSW Office of Sport released the Sports Governance Capability Framework (Framework) to assist New South Wales Sports Organisations improve governance practices and skills. The Framework reflects the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) Sports Governance Principles 2012. The new Conflict of Interest Policy and Register for Directors of KNSW aligns itself with this Framework.

Chairman of KNSW, David Filipetto said “The proper identification and management of a potential conflict of interest within the Board is essential for member club confidence. A transparent process also helps to protect the organisation’s reputation”.

A copy of the Conflict of Interest Policy is located and will form part of the KNSW good governance policies.
