Dear KNSW Members, Licence Holders & Participants,
While public health measures in Australia have been very effective in limiting the spread of COVID-19 over 2020, health and policy experts suggest that we should continue to expect localised outbreaks until an effective vaccine is made widely available.
Until then, Australian State Governments have communicated that they will work quickly to contain the spread of COVID-19 using a range of health policy measures. One increasingly important measure is self-isolation. State Governments have the authority to request that you undertake a COVID-19 test and self-isolate if, via contact tracing, it is confirmed that you attended a specific venue or area at the same time as a confirmed COVID-19 case.
From 20 July 2020, if you are advised by a State Government or associated Health Authority that you need to self-isolate, as a result of attending a KNSW Sanctioned Event or related KNSW Event, we would request you undertake the following steps:
- Immediately inform KNSW (at info@kartingnsw.com.au) and do not attend any KNSW Sanctioned Events (including come & try, practice or competition events); and
- Adhere to the strict State Government self-isolation protocols, including the requirement to undertake a COVID-19 test
Your health and well-being and that of your family are our first priority.
Please make sure you follow all of the relevant guidance issued to you by your doctor and the state health department. This includes not leaving your home, except for an emergency.

If you have any questions please contact info@kartingnsw.com.au
Again, the most important measure you can take both inside and outside of karting to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 is strictly adhering to the 1.5m social distance advice, wash your hands regularly and use hand sanitizer and keep up good health hygiene.
