KartSTART Event Run Plan: Your Journey into Karting

Welcome to a day filled with excitement, adrenaline, and unforgettable memories at the KartSTART event! Here's a breakdown of the step-by-step process participants will go through during their time at the event:

1. Arrival and Registration:

· Participants arrive at the designated event location.

· Check-in at the registration desk to receive event materials and a schedule for the day.

· Collect safety gear, including helmets and other necessary equipment.

2. Welcome and Introduction:

· Gather in the designated area for a warm welcome and introduction to the KartSTART program.

· Meet the instructors who will guide participants through the events activities.

· Receive an overview of the program and what to expect.

3. Karting Basics Session:

· Engage in an informative session covering the basics of karting.

· Learn about different types of karts, their components, and the safety gear.

· Gain insights into track rules, signals, and karting etiquette.

4. Safety Briefing:

· Attend a comprehensive safety briefing led by experienced instructors.

· Learn about proper karting posture, helmet fitting, and other safety protocols.

· Understand the importance of safety on and off the track.

5. Kart Familiarisation:

· Participants are introduced to the karts they will be driving.

· Get familiar with the kart's controls, pedals, steering wheel, and safety features.

· Receive personalised instruction on entering and exiting the kart safely.

· Learn about acceleration, braking, steering, and proper kart control techniques.

· Experience the thrill of driving a kart on the track for the first time.

7.  Break (BYO food):

· Enjoy a well-deserved break to refuel and recharge.

· Connect with fellow participants and share your experiences so far.

8. Skill Refinement:

· Return to the track for more practice, focusing on honing your skills.

9. Understanding from an Official's Point of View:

· Engage with karting officials who share insights on what they observe during races.

· Learn about key factors officials consider, including clean racing, adherence to rules, and sportsmanship.

· Gain an understanding of how officials ensure fair competition and safety on the track.

10. Debrief and Q&A:
