Karting NSW EOFY update
Another financial year comes to an end and while racing continues this is a good time to reflect on where we are relative to previous periods. Below is a snapshot of a few highlights.

KNSW Rule Book Updated July 1st
The Karting NSW rule book will be updated to version 820, the new version will take effect from July 1st 2026. TAG Restricted has been updated to allow +20 restrictors and Iame Reedjet 100 engine to be used in all competition. TAG restricted karts must now also display the minimum class weight for their class/engine spec near the front number plate. Novice & Rookie Tyre Survey
Karting NSW sent this email and survey link to all Karting NSW Novice and Rookie licence holders. We would like to gather competitors views on the current tyres with a view to gauging interest in looking at a tyre option that may create better racing in these classes, better value and tyre longevity and safer racing. Round 4 of Dunlop Kart Stars 2026 heads to the beautiful Manning Valley. Located at the Wigham Sporting complex, the 722m circuit offers racers a great challenge in the grassy, treelined valley. TAG Restricted Rule Update
TAG Restricted Rule C.8 has been updated via addendum effective 12th May 2026 to include Rotax SR4 restrictor may be used in TAG restricted with the addition of 7kg to the minimum weight limit. New Rotax Restrictor
Testing has commenced on the New Rotax SR4 restrictor. KNSW currently does NOT allow this to be used in competition. We will complete testing over the next few weeks on a variety of tracks and conditions to ensure that when the SR4 is approved for use, parity will be ensured so that competitors with current equipment are not disadvantaged by the introduction of a new product.

Dunlop Kart Stars Round 3. Grenfell Kart Club May 23-24
Grenfell track has been recently refurbished, with the track extended to 894m and fully resurfaced. The facility has a great pit area and covered out-grid. The track produces great racing. The Dunlop Kart Stars series continues to bring record entries to host clubs and great racing for competitors.
