Some Karting NSW Facts

Recently there have been a lot of opinions shared about karting, some are quite factual, others are shared without thought or actual fact based.

Karting NSW recently released a statement answering some concerns about Control Tyres and Tyre Supply in the future.

KNSW would like to share some facts.

Dunlop has supplied over 30 000 tyres to KNSW members since the introduction of the DHH control tyre.

Dunlop has supported KNSW with over $200 000.00 in direct sponsorship/support and supported KNSW active/affiliated clubs with $1500.00 per year for each club.

This additional funding secured by KNSW has allowed us to do many things for KNSW Karter's, including.

Keep Licence costs capped ($250.00 for competition and $140.00 for practice) at 50% lower than other organizations.
Has helped us to fund the KNSW Officials Conference, seeing a 70% increase in the number of officials registered.
Helped KNSW be able to provide the Dunlop Kart Stars Officials and Promotion team for all Dunlop Kart Stars Rounds. This has provided the resources and training for all host clubs to have a very successful events, with each host club able to bank much needed funds for future improvements.
Dunlop have offered to exchange the batch identified as having a discrepancy through normal return channels (return as purchased to the dealer you purchased from). I don't believe any other racing tyre supplier would offer this.
Race entries in the 25/26 year increased by 17%. 11 of our 15 Active Clubs had improved entry numbers in the last financial year

There are many more positives I could list, are there some challenges "Yes there is" and this will always be the case. Will the winners keep winning, "Yes they will".

KNSW is lead by a Volunteer Board of 7 and 2 part time staff (AGM coming up soon with 3 vacant positions available). The Board and KNSW will always work to provide the best outcomes for KNSW. Remember there is a great deal of diversity between individual Karter's and their priorities, so we will please everyone, every time. No we won't.
