Karting NSW is excited to announce DUNLOP KARTSPORT as our tyre partner for 2025 and 2026.
Karting NSW (KNSW) has completed a rigorous tender and evaluation process to select the control tyre supplier for the 2025-2026 karting season. Following an initial call for expressions of interest in December 2023, KNSW received submissions from four leading tyre brands. These were shortlisted to three brands that underwent testing before the final supplier was chosen. The testing phase generated detailed reports for each tyre, focusing on performance, durability, driver feedback, and suitability across various racing conditions.
The Dunlop DHH has been selected as the tyre for use across all sprint classes (aside from RKA and KZ). It will be available for purchase from 1st December 2024 and approved for practice from 16th December 2024. Testing has shown this tyre to be approximately 0.5 seconds per lap (track dependent) faster than the Maxxis Sport, while still maintaining excellent wear qualities and driver feedback.
Les May commented, “ALM Sales and Dunlop are delighted to be selected to partner with KNSW as their Control Tyre supplier from January 1st, 2025. KNSW has restored our faith in karting associations, demonstrating integrity and transparency in the tender process and leading the sport in the right direction. It is an absolute pleasure to work with a professional team that embodies honesty, passion, and a true focus on the sport, competitors, the trade network, and suppliers as part of their key objectives.”
Drew Russell, KNSW’s General Manager, added, “The Dunlop tyre, manufactured in Japan by Sumitomo Rubber Industries, one of the world’s largest and most technologically advanced manufacturers, brings the latest in innovation, design, and performance, along with Dunlop’s renowned quality and consistency. Supported by ALM Sales Pty Ltd and Dunlop Kartsport’s passion, experience, and reputation for stock holding, supply, and distribution, this partnership will benefit all competitors and the dealer network, assisting in the growth of the sport.”
KNSW expresses its gratitude to Chris Dell and his team from Maxxis/SG Karts for their invaluable partnership and exemplary service since 2019. Their dedication and professionalism, as well as the price and performance of the Maxxis Sport Tyre, have been instrumental in ensuring the success of our karting events over the past 5 years. We deeply appreciate their commitment to excellence and wish them continued success in all their future endeavours.

I found this article really informative, especially the part about KNSW confirming the continued use of Vega tyres for the 2025–2026 seasons. It’s interesting to see how much thought goes into tyre selection, not just for performance but also for consistency across different karting categories. I appreciate that the article also highlighted the importance of proper tyre care and rotation, which seems like a small detail but can make a big difference during races. Reading this made me reflect on how even small technical choices can have a big impact on outcomes, similar to how careful planning helps in academic projects sometimes I rely on guidance from resources like New Assignment Help Australia to stay on track with complex task…
